  • Designed by William Tierney Clark and built by David Aust, this single-span road bridge over the River Avon was made of cast iron on stone abutments and opened in 1836. It was rebuilt in 1936, with a reinforced concrete superstructure replacing the two outer ribs of the original cast-iron arch.
